here is how I've made $44,000 with YouTube shorts in 100 days earlier this year I tried something new no I didn't join a hippie Community I posted YouTube shorts for 100 days with the goal of adding at least 10,000 subscribers here are the results the videos that I published in those 100 days added nearly 100,000 subscribers to my channel and have earned me over $44,000 what's even crazier is that I only published 21 shorts in those 100 days days so on average I've added 5,000 subscribers and made over $2,000 for each short that I've published in this video I'll show you everything that I've learned in these 100 days so that you can do the same and start seeing similar results learning one use keywords you have to use keywords in the title and description of your YouTube shorts when we look at the stats for my YouTube shorts we can see that for many of them a huge proportion of views comes from YouTube search that is because I deliberately researched real life keywords that people search for every single day and then I inserted those keywords into the title and description of the YouTube shorts videos so it's no surprise that I'm getting a ton of search traffic to my YouTube shorts and the Search terms that are bringing in the traffic are the exact same Search terms that are researched and put into my video title and description too many people make videos that have viral style titles no one searches for these in YouTube search so these viral Style videos rely on one way to get traffic going viral and most videos will never go viral that's why you really need to make some of your shorts targeted to keywords that people actually type into YouTube search that way you're giving your videos a chance to get traffic from multiple sources to find good keywords you can use Google Keyword Planner tool it's 100% free make sure you remove the country filter then enter some keywords related to your topic and see what keywords are suggested these are real things people search for you can use the search Autos suggest function to confirm it and if you find a keyword where there are no shorts ranking for it right now now you found yourself a winner so make a video then insert the keyword into the title and some keyword variations into the description and that will give your video a great chance to rank in YouTube search and get ongoing Evergreen views learning to focus on viewed versus swiped away this seems to be a metric that no one really understands but what I do know is that my best YouTube shorts have the highest percentage viewed metric for example this YouTube short has had 2.6 million views and it's chose to view metric is 67.7% this percentage viewed on shorts metric is similar to the clickthrough rate on long videos and you need to be doing everything you can to maximize this percentage viewed metric one of the ways that you can improve your percentage viewed metric is by using audio and visual effects in the first 5 Seconds of your video study other successful shorts to see exactly how they've structured the first 5 Seconds of their videos and tried to learn from them personally I found that it helps to insert a focus on niches with multiple ways to make money if you want to make real money from your YouTube channel do not skip this section too many people choose a complete Ely wrong Niche for their YouTube channel they think that posting viral videos or funny cats is going to make them Rich because those videos get millions of views therefore probably they can make thousands in ad Revenue well sorry to say but this is completely wrong a YouTube shorts video with 1 million viewers is likely to make between $10 and $50 in ad Revenue so to make even 5,000 a month from ad Revenue alone you'd need to get 100 million views a month think about it 100 million views that's a lot and impossible for most channels so you need other ways to make money with YouTube shorts for example I often recommend products as solutions to the problems that I talk about in my videos let's say you talk about how to watch Netflix from another country and you recommend nordvpn as the solution you join the nordvpn affiliate program and you make 100% of the first month as commission that's $4.99 per sale so let's say from 1 million viewers 1% clicks your links in the video or your Link in the description that's 10,000 link clicks of them 10% of people buy novpn that's 1,000 sales at $14.99 per sale equals $14,990 from these 1 million views of course that's a lot better than getting $50 in head revenue from the 1 million views about cat and to make $5,000 a month from this type of content is much easier because at $14,990 per 1 million views you only need 300,000 views to make 5K a month 300,000 views a month is much more doable than a 100 million views a month so that is exactly how I've been able to consistently make over 20,000 a month from my YouTube business even though I only get around 600,000 views per month so the big learning is make sure to choose a niche with multiple ways to earn and not just add Revenue don't forget that you can get a huge list of profitable YouTube NES at viral email list I'd probably only be making about 5,000 a month or less every day I have around 100 to 200 people who are joining my email list once they join my email list they go through a series of emails and some choose to buy my course or buy some other products that I recommend most importantly I now have an email list of almost 70,000 subscribers and I can send an email to to those 70,000 subscribers and recommend my own course or someone else's product as an affiliate and you can do the same in any Niche this is why so many successful Brands choose to build an email list and you should certainly be doing the same the growth in my email list is 100% attributed to the YouTube shorts videos that I have posted and if you want to treat your YouTube channel as a business you need Instagram bio Facebook page links Tik Tok bio as well as into the comments section and into the description area and direct people to your opin page from all the content that you post then as your subscriber email list grows promote high quality affiliate products to your list to make commissions from your email list learning five crossposting this can get you millions of extra views without any extra work I've taken my YouTube shorts and I've crossposted them to Instagram reals and Facebook reals honestly I was pretty shocked because some of my Instagram reals got literally over a million views and same on Facebook reals some reals went completely crazy and got hundreds of thousands of views so I highly recommend to take your YouTube shots videos and post them to your Instagram Facebook and maybe even Tik Tok accounts this will ensure that you get exposure on four platforms from every single video that you create this is basically just like creating extra money out of thin air and who can say no to that learning six create effective captions many people watch YouTube shorts when they are on public transport meaning they don't use audio and don't have headphones so it's absolutely necessary to use captions on your short form content I found some settings that work the best for captions first download the font called The Bold font it looks really good when used in to complete all these steps all right so how do you actually make money with YouTube shorts first of all YouTube shorts is great for growing your subscriber numbers fast once you have the subscribers you can start posting long form videos and make money from ad Revenue that is because YouTube short is actually terrible for making money from ads so don't rely on ad revenue for YouTube shorts instead building an email list makes it totally possible to make great money from just posting shorts videos here is how as I told you before I collect email leads from my YouTube shorts in the past 30 days I've received 700,000 views roughly on my YouTube shorts and I've added 3,597 leads to my email list giving me an average of 5.1 emails added per 1,000 views from shorts with the email list that I now have I'm able to recommend my courses as well as recommend some products which I personally use and for which I'm an affiliate and on average each subscriber on my email list brings in around 50 cents per month in total revenue if you manage to just keep growing your email list as big as you can you can scale your income infinitely this model Works in other niches such as Excel
